Our program provides transitional housing and practical support designed to help residents strengthen their recovery, develop life skills, connect with community resources, and work toward sustainable independence.

Providing coordinated support for individuals navigating the justice system, including court liaison services, treatment and treatment bail planning, release coordination, and connections to appropriate community resources.

• Training to learn new skills so you can find a job you enjoy and keep it.

• Support with booking a spot for non-medical detox in a caring place.

WHO MAY BE REFERRED
Healing Hearts for Sobriety welcomes adults in recovery, including individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or navigating major life transitions. This includes seniors, newcomers, and youth exiting care.
Our inclusive program proudly serves Indigenous clients, justice-involved individuals, and women with children seeking safety and stability.
We support applicants receiving provincial financial assistance, including Alberta Works, the Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP), and Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH).
OUR COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE MODEL
Turning Point does not provide in-house programming, medical, psychological, or clinical services on site. Instead, residents are connected with an extensive network of qualified professionals, community-based organizations, and specialized service providers.
We work collaboratively to help each resident access the appropriate programs, services, and supports based on their individual needs, recovery goals, and circumstances.

Rigorous Community Supervision
The Turning Point Justice Advocacy, Referral & Outreach Program provides a comprehensive, court-vetted framework for individuals in custody awaiting a bail hearing
We bridge the gap between detention and rehabilitation by collaborating directly with defence counsel to build highly accountable treatment bail plans.
Who it’s for:
defence counsel, duty counsel, community partners, individuals and families who are currently in custody.
Upon release, clients immediately transition into our safe, stable temporary housing facilities for mandatory accountability.
Immediate Housing Transition
We bridge stable living with life skills development, job training, medical and psychological referrals, creating a comprehensive network designed to break the cycle of re-offending and foster long-term stability.

New Beginnings Safe Haven is a dedicated housing program for women and children fleeing intimate partner violence, domestic abuse, trafficking, or any unsafe living situation. Our homes provide a secure, confidential environment where families can begin to heal, rebuild trust, and regain a sense of safety. We recognize that women from diverse cultural, religious, and family backgrounds often face complex obstacles and unique pressures when seeking safety. Every woman is welcomed with the deepest respect for her heritage, and we provide tailored, compassionate support to ensure you are empowered at every step of your journey toward a life free from violence.
